North Shore Elementary

North Shore Elementary wasn’t the firm’s first circular school, but it was the first circular school at 6,750 feet above sea level.

Rolling Hills High School

At its opening, Rolling Hills High School accommodated 2000 students and 125 faculty on a 38-acre site at Hawthorne Blvd and Silver Spur Road. Each individual grade operates independently in a self-contained school and students spend much of their school year under the guidance and camaraderie of the team of teachers assigned to their grade.

Robert Frost Auditorium at Culver City High School

Culver City Unified School District wanted a modified “Chamber Theatre” or “Theatre-in-the-Round” to accommodate a larger audience yet maintain the intimate communication between actor and audience.

Jet Propulsion Laboratories

Flewelling & Moody was responsible for the JPL master plan which took into consideration the economic use of JPL land and solutions to parking and traffic conditions that would arise with an increase in personnel.

Mira Costa High School

Approximately 24,500 SF, this two-story building is a multi-functional project that houses the entire campus administration and support facilities on the first floor, with classrooms, faculty offices, the “Learning Center” and the “ Career Center” on the second floor.

Glendale First Methodist Church

The firm used prestressed reinforced concrete, the first to use this technique in the US, for construction of Glendale First Methodist Church.

Aviation High School

Aviation High School consisted of 22 buildings set on a 40-acre site capable of accommodating up to 2500 students.
