Summary
The technology center project consists of an interior remodel of an existing third floor technology classroom, and reconfigure existing space for a student-centered experimental lab “Sand Box” for computer science and information systems students. Flewelling & Moody designed a space that provided four easily reconfigurable work group areas and presentation areas. Also within the scope was new electrical, new data, interactive computer monitors, comfortable seating, new ceiling, new lighting, and ceiling mounted projectors. The remodel was located on the third floor of the San Raphael Building on the Glendale Community College campus. The learning center project consisted of an interior remodel of the existing learning center on the second floor of the 1930’s Administration Building. The scope included the existing offices, conference room, and classroom areas. Also, refurbishing of existing ceiling, new interior lighting, new electrical, and data ways. The restrooms on the second floor needed accessible upgrades as well.
