Project
Summary

Pasadena Garden Apartments is an eight-unit housing facility for low-income families, a few blocks from the City’s downtown and civic center cores, within the domain of the “City of Gardens” ordinance. Designed in a modified Pasadena courtyard bungalow style, the facility offers two- and three- bedroom residences and two parking spaces per unit in a secured garage. As required, the new construction matched the architectural, scale, materials, and landscape of the surrounding residential neighborhood. Two units are stacked to compose the corner structure. The lower units are non-ambulatory and fully accessible at grade level. Across a courtyard, opposite these units, are three three-bedroom units and the garage at the same grade level. A second courtyard is above the garage, surrounded by two more three-bedroom and one two-bedroom units.
