Tropico Middle School Gym

Tropico Middle School Gymnasium was built through Measure H bond funds specifically for joint school and community use facilities. The building consists of an 8,500 square-foot main gymnasium as well as locker/shower rooms, restrooms, coach’s offices, a music classroom and physical education classroom spaces. This gymnasium provides an essential facility for indoor recreation and physical education and shelters the students from the extreme temperatures and challenging climate of the Mojave Desert. Highlight: Project was published in the January 2011 issue of “CMU Profiles In Architecture” published by the Concrete Masonry Association of California and Nevada.
