What You Will Do:
  • Lead the production and coordination of architectural drawings and construction documents utilizing Revit or AutoCad and Autodesk Forma.
  • Coordinate, mentor, and provide technical guidance to Architectural Designers and Interns.
  • Develop architectural details, assist with project specifications, and ensure technical quality throughout all project phases.
  • Coordinate closely with structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and specialty consultants.
  • Manage and clearly understand project BIM models, drawing files, and office drafting standards.
  • Review drawing sets for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and compliance with California Building Codes and accessibility requirements.
  • Conduct project research, code analysis, and material/product evaluations alongside the Project Architect.
  • Perform field investigations, existing conditions documentation, and site verification.
  • Independently manage smaller projects while supporting larger, multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Assist during bidding and construction by preparing addenda, responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and supporting construction administration.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Project Architects to deliver projects on schedule while maintaining Flewelling & Moody’s commitment to design excellence.
  • High proficiency with: Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite, Enscape, Word & Excel
  • Be well organized, highly proficient in English, with strong written and communication skills

 

What You Will Bring:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program
  • 5–8 years of professional architectural experience with increasing project responsibility.
  • Licensed Architect in California, or actively pursuing licensure.
  • Experience leading construction document production through all phases of a project.
  • Strong knowledge of California Building Codes, accessibility requirements, and construction detailing.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams.
  • Recent architectural experience in California.
  • Experience working on K–12, higher education, senior housing, multifamily housing, or civic projects is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff while fostering a collaborative studio environment.
  • Experience with SketchUp, Rhino, BIM coordination, and visualization software is a plus.
