Designed to support both student activities and community recreation, the Tropico Middle School Gymnasium provides a versatile indoor facility tailored to the needs of physical education, athletics, and educational programs. The 8,500-square-foot gymnasium includes locker and shower facilities, restrooms, coach’s offices, a music classroom, and dedicated physical education spaces.
The facility serves as a vital resource for students, providing a comfortable, climate-controlled environment for year-round recreation and learning in the challenging Mojave Desert climate. The project’s thoughtful design creates a welcoming and functional space that enhances the school campus while supporting opportunities for broader community use.
The project was delivered through a collaborative lease-leaseback approach, incorporating contractor pre-qualification and cost control measures to support a streamlined construction process and successful project delivery.
